ORT Next Gen NYC Third Annual Gala

ORT is the Jewish organization meeting the world’s educational needs since 1880. One of the largest non-governmental education and training organizations in the world, ORT operates activities in Israel, the Baltic and CIS, Latin America, Europe, North America, Africa, and Asia. It is a non-profit, not-political organization that serves many by meeting the educational and competitive needs of today’s society.

Next Gen is ORT’s national network of young professionals dedicated to the support of high quality education both locally and around the world through various fundraising efforts. We offer social events, volunteer opportunities, and many other ways to get involved. There are Next Gen chapters all over the country in locations including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Cleveland, Atlanta, Detroit, and more.

There are many ways to get involved with ORT Next Gen NYC. In 2016, we will host happy hours, Shabbat dinners, and other unique social and networking opportunities, in addition to volunteer days at our school in Queens, mentorship programs for current students, board and leadership development opportunities, missions, and much more.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   At the third annual ORT Next Gen NYC gala, we are raising money to support scholarships for high school students in Brazil to attend ORT’s Instituto de Tecnologia in Rio de Janeiro, which is recognized as one of the best schools in the country. The school focuses on science and technology, with particular focus on biotechnology, computer science, electronics, and social media. The first Jewish school in Latin America, ORT Brazil is the only Jewish school in the country to specialize in science and technology education.
