Here is clarification of our kosher policy for your reference.
"New York Jewish Guide" (NYJG) is a website, serving as an intermediary for the information contained but not, in any way, as a Kashrut Authority. NYJG respects any Restaurant and/or business which has a Kosher Certificate (a Jewish Rabbinical permit for being and Keeping Kosher), and allows it to upload its business information to the New York Jewish Guide website.
Please note that kosher authenticity is important to NYJG but the NYJG does not check every Kosher source daily for every item in the database. Therefore, we recommend that users should proactively check the type of Hashgacha and it´s source, and then decide for himself/herself if it complies with his/her beliefs and definition of "Kashrut".
We recommend the same process when you search for a Synagogue, a Jewish Community etc. NYJG trusts the integrity and honesty of worldwide internet users and relies on and welcomes their feedback and updates
We strongly recommend that you always verify the validity of the kosher certificate/permit yourself when you on the premises to be certain of authenticity of the kosher claim.
If you do not understand and /or accept the above policy, you are asked not to use the NYJG.com and its resources.
Let us reiterate that www.newyorkjewishguide.com is NOT a kosher licensing authority anddoes not provide anytype of kosher supervision at any time. We do not allow anyone to use our name and /or advertisements as a kosher certificate.
