Mark Meirowitz is a business lawyer, who has been in practice for over 30 years with top law firms, and as in-house corporate legal counsel with major corporations. He is a solo practitioner whose practice areas include business law, commercial transactions, negotiation of contracts, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, real estate, international transactions and franchising. He is also available to be “outsourced” to companies to serve as general counsel and assist in the coordination legal matters for such companies. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish-American Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TACCI), the Advisory Council of the American Turkish Council and also serves as an advisor to the Presidents of the Federation of Turkish American Associations and the Assembly of Turkish American Associations. He is also a member of the Turkish American Business Forum (TABF), the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce and the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce.
He has presented many business seminars including “Avoiding Risk in Negotiating Commercial Contracts” at TACCI, TABF, the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce, the New York Public Library, Business and Science Library and the Small Business Administration, as well as presentations on business negotiation at the Spain-US Chamber of Commerce and the Turkish American Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TACCI). He also holds a doctorate in Politics, and has taught Politics, History, Law and English Conversation for Foreign Students at colleges in the New York area. He writes and lectures extensively on the subjects of Turkish Foreign Policy, Turkish-US relations (and related subjects) and has been interviewed on both radio and television programs and in the written press (both locally and internationally) on subjects related to Turkish politics, Middle East Politics and domestic political issues.
Olivier DuPont, Of Counsel
Olivier DuPont is focusing his practice in complex commercial and maritime litigation. He practiced for four years in corporate/structured finance and commercial litigation for two US law firms (Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw and Latham & Watkins) before joining our firm in 2006. His experience in international business law and his multi-disciplined education in economics (M.B.A, Paris IX Dauphine) and law will enhance the firm’s ability to deal with complex matters and strengthen the firm’s international practice.
His areas of practice include international litigation and arbitration of corporate, commercial and transportation disputes, as well as general commercial, corporation, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and asset-based transactions. Olivier DuPont graduated from Columbia University School of Law with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree and is admitted to the New York State bar.
He is also admitted to the Courts of France (J.D., Paris I Sorbonne). He is also counseling companies in transactional matters in the high-tech and transportation industries
