8th Annual Cheryl Diamond NYC 5K Schlep: Breast and Ovarian Cancer Run / Walk

This year, the eighth annual Cheryl Diamond NYC 5K SCHLEP Breast and Ovarian Cancer Run / Walk will be hosted on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Robert F. Wagner Jr. Park in Battery Park, NYCbefore the Celebrate Israel Parade.

The NYC 5K SCHLEP brings together hundreds of participants from the New York Tri- State Area, across the country and abroad, ranging in age from 6 – 90 years old, bound together in solidarity to raise the hopes of those battling breast and ovarian cancer as well as awareness and funds to help further cancer research and treatment.

Every year, American Friends of Rabin Medical Center honors 5 survivors and remembers 5 people with breast and ovarian cancer. In an effort to create a community of support, we invite you to recommend survivors or family members of those who have passed and share their personal stories with others that are connected to the struggle against breast and ovarian cancer.

AFRMC is proud to partner with the communities at Temple Emanu-El New York, Central Synagogue, Congregation Ohab Zedek, 14th Street Y, Tamid the Downtown Synagogue. Our corporate sponsors include American Self Storage, El Al, IDB Bank, JScreen, Shiboleth, Storage Blue and Shleppers Moving & Storage.

With over 500 supporters of this year’s Cheryl Diamond NYC 5K Schlep, proceeds from this event partially benefit Rabin Medical Center’s BRCA Multidisciplinary Clinic in Israel serving women with a high risk of breast and ovarian cancer, as well as funding research to find cures for breast and ovarian cancer at Rabin Medical Center’s Davidoff Cancer Center – a world class facility for the treatment and prevention of cancer.
